Install WorkPhone
Use the instructions to install WorkPhone as a desktop application or open it in a web browser (Chrome or Firefox). When you log in to the application using your hosted PBX credentials, it will create a device in the Smart PBX.
Important
If you install the desktop version and also want to use the web app version, this is considered more than one device. If you have a single device package, be aware that logging in via multiple platforms will be chargeable. Currently, contacts and call history will only show per device but you can move calls from one device to another.

Click the link to download and install WorkPhone.

The download starts in your taskbar, click to open the .exe file when complete.
- Open the application and scroll through the T&Cs and license agreement, check the box to proceed.

Select "Europe" as the region and sign in using your hosted PBX portal credentials. (If you choose not to log in and select "Skip for now" on this page, the app opens but you have no account and cannot make or receive calls)

When connecting for the first time and there are no existing Workphone devices associated with your user information, press Create New to create a Workphone SIP account.

Select "Create New" when adding WorkPhone to a second device such as desktop, web app, or mobile. If you are replacing a device (e.g. you have a new mobile) then choose "Migrate" to move the WorkPhone app from your old phone to new phone. See WorkPhone Devices for more information on this.

You can leave the suggested name or change if necessary; the Workphone SIP account is created automatically in the hosted PBX.

Click the link provided to download and install WorkPhone.

Open the downloaded file, then drag the app to your Applications folder.

From the App folder, open the application and scroll through the T&Cs and license agreement, then check the box to proceed.

Select "Europe" as the region and sign in using your hosted PBX portal credentials

- Copy the link https://workphone.iptel.co/ into your browser to launch WorkPhone web app. For the South Africa region, use https://workphone.iptel.net.za/.
- Accept the license and T&Cs and continue.
- Select your region from the dropdown, Europe or South Africa.
- Enter your hosted PBX credentials.
- Click Create New, this will register a new web softphone device in your hosted PBX.
- Start using WorkPhone to make and receive calls.
- Go to Google Play Store and search for WorkPhone.

Allow the app permissions as prompted and scroll to accept T&Cs and license agreement.

Enter your hosted PBX credentials to log in to your organisation.

Click "Create New" to add your device to the system.
