Yealink - Using your Yealink Phone
The following are general instructions for using your Yealink device. For your specific device or model, use the instructions provided with the device or check Yealink support http://support.yealink.com/documentFront/forwardToDocumentFrontDisplayPage.
Screen and buttons

14 | Volume Key | Adjusts the volume of the handset, headset, speaker, or ringer |
15 | Keypad | Provides the digits, letters, and special characters in context-sensitive applications |

17 | Hook Switch Tab | Secures the handset in the handset cradle when the IP phone is mounted vertically |

Your Yealink device allows you to program more Line keys that what is on the first page of the LED screen. The first page will look something like this:
If you have more pages, the screen will look something like this:
Placing a call
- Pick up the handset.
- Enter the desired number using the keypad.
- Press OK, # or the Send soft key; if the handset does not have an OK button, press the button in the centre of the arrows.
Answering calls
Do one of the following:
- Pick up the handset
- Press the speaker key
- Press the Answer soft key
Ending calls
Do one of the following:
- Replace handset
- Press the X key
- Press the EndCall soft key
Blind transfer
- Press or the Tran soft key during a call
- Enter the number you want to transfer the caller to or press the LED button where the extension has been programmed
- Press or the Tran soft key to complete the transfer
- Replace handset
Attended transfer
- Press or the Tran soft key during a call
- Enter the number you want to transfer the call to followed by the # key or press the LED button where the extension has been programmed
- Wait for the user to answer
- To put the caller through, press or press the Tran soft key to complete the transfer
- To go back to the caller, press the More soft Key
- Press the End soft key
- Press the Resume soft key
Call Hold/Resume
You can place an active call on hold. Only one active call can be in progress at any time. Other calls can be made and received while placing the original call on hold.
To place a call on hold
- Press the HOLD key or the Hold soft key during a call
- The LED screen indicates that the call is on hold
- The phone will softly ring every 30 seconds to remind you that you still have a call on hold
To resume a held call
- Press the Hold key or the Resume soft key
Redial
Do one of the following:
- Press the RD key when the phone is idle
- Press the up or down scroll key and then press the RD key
- Press the up or down scroll key and then press the Send soft key
Mute
- Press the MUTE key
- The Mute icon is displayed on the LED screen
Unmute
- Press the MUTE key
- The Mute icon will disappear from the LED screen
Common park LED keys
Common Park keys are Line Keys programmed on your phone which allow you to put a caller on hold. Once the caller is on hold. All other phones which have the common park Key programmed will see there is a caller on hold.
To put the call into park
- Press the programed LED Line key
- The Park key will now be flashing on all devices that have it programmed
To retrieve the caller from park
- Press the programmed LED Line Key that is flashing
- Any device that has this Line Key programmed, can pick up the call
Common Park – Via Code
The code for common park is *3 any digit after that is the parking slot number.
To put a caller in common park
- Whilst on a call, press the Tran Key
- Dial *31# to place the call into parking slot 1
To retrieve a caller from hold
- Dial *311#
Divert calls
Divert calls easily to another number or voicemail using the shortcodes as follows:
To enable call divert
Dial *72#, follow the instructions
To remove the call divert
Dial *73#
To store speed dial numbers
- Hold in the Line key
- Press the left arrow key until you reach Speed Dial
- Press the down arrow for Account ID
- Select line 1
- Press the down arrow for Label
- Use the keypad to enter the name
- Press the down arrow key until you reach Value
- Type in the telephone number
Access your voicemail box from any extension
- Dial *97 and follow the prompts
Access your voicemail box from your own extension
- Dial *98 and follow the prompts
