Using your PC Bria Softphone
Icons
Answer incoming call: The incoming audio call is answered with audio. If you were on another call, Bria Stretto places the first call on hold.
Forward this call to another person without answering: The incoming call is forwarded without answering it first. A call entry field appears. Enter the name or number you want to forward the call to and click Forward.
Refuse/End incoming call: The call is declined and the remote party gets a busy signal or the call is forwarded to voicemail if you have this service.
To make an outgoing call
- Type the number in the "Make a call" field
- Click the green phone to dial
To answer incoming calls, forward to another user, or send caller to voicemail
There are several ways you can handle incoming calls.
Pop-Up
Softphone is minimised and you receive a call, choose from the following options:
- Click the green phone to answer
- Click the red phone to send the caller to voicemail
Desktop
Softphone is open on your desktop and you receive a call, choose from the following options:
- Click the green phone to answer
- Click the arrow to forward the caller to another user
- Click the red phone to send the caller to voicemail
Ending a call
- Click the red phone
Transferring calls
There are two ways to transfer calls:
- Transfer now (unattended or blind transfer) - transfer the caller without announcing the call
- Call first (attended transfer) - introduce the call before you transfer it
- During a call, click the transfer icon to put the caller on hold.
- Enter the extension and click Transfer Now to send the call straight through.
Note
When you see the message "Transfer: Calling" do not hang up. If the target does not answer, the call will return to you.

Enter the extension.

Click on the drop down arrow next to "Transfer Now".

Click "Call First".
- Caller will be placed on hold and the extension you entered will ring.

If the target wants to take the call, click "Transfer Now".

If the target does not want to take the call, click "X" at the bottom.

If you are using a PC, IP Telecom recommends a headset with microphone. The quality of the calls using soft phone is dependent on the performance of the device on which the software is installed.
