Bria Status and Hosted PBX

Your "status" in Bria does not always determine how your hosted PBX calls will behave. The hosted PBX does not have the same presence labels such as "Available", "Ringing". For example, if your Bria sofphone says "Available", it might not indicate that the phones are online yet.

If you log into your mobile Bria and change your status, there will be no changes in the PBX.

Info

Some Bria statuses are related to messaging rather than phone calls.

Set up user presence in Bria softphone

  1. Add a contact in Bria

  2. Enter the contact information and verify that type of device is "Softphone"; enter the extension number of the user that you want to establish presence for.

  3. After you save the contact, there are three statuses available, this is similar to how the BLF works in your desk phones.

    • Ringing: Someone is dialling the user at extension 365

    • On the phone: User at extension 365 is on a call

    • Available: User at extension 365 is not on the phone or ringing, but this does not indicate the user is ready to take calls in hosted PBX or log to the softphone
