Microsoft Licensing Requirements
Each user on the hosted PBX account must have a Microsoft licence to integrate their service with MS Teams and allow calling through Teams. The Teams Phone add-on licence enables the dial pad in MS Teams and allows calls to be made.
At least one extra Microsoft 365 licence must be available for a few hours to configure the users (with two licenses the process can be even quicker). The "Microsoft Teams Phone Add On" is not required for these spare licenses during the configuration, but is required for each of the actual users.
Which Microsoft licence do you need?
IP Telecom customers will need one of the following types of licenses for each user.

Microsoft Teams Phone is available on a 1-month free trial for 25 users to allow customers to evaluate the full calling experience of Teams. MS Teams licenses are chargeable according to the number of users created in Smart PBX and not in SBC portal.

Do not purchase "Teams Phone with Calling Plans" these are Microsoft minutes & numbers bundles; the phone service you are connecting already has this.
