Ghost or Phantom Calls
Ghost calls or phantom calls are random incoming calls usually from extension numbers such as 1000, 1001, 100, 2001, which are not visible in the call logs. These types of calls might be a sign that someone has found your network and is probing it, or that the phones are interpreting the packets from your firewall as a calls.
To prevent ghost calls, IP Telecom recommends creating a firewall rule blocking access:
-
WAN > LAN allow 195.191.28.0/23 on all.
-
WAN > LAN deny any on 5060 - 5080, 7000
Refer to IP Telecom’s Minimum Network Requirements to confirm that all other configurations are in place. This type of issue is always related to the firewall configuration.
Also, some Yealink devices can be blocked by enabling the "Accept SIP Trust Server Only" feature on the device itself.
- Log in to the device using the the web interface (enter the IP in the web browser). See also Check IP
-
Go to Features > General Info > scroll to the bottom - Enable Accept SIP Trust Server Only.
