Configuring your FRITZ!Box 7530

The FRITZ!Box 7530 modem connects your computers, smartphones, tablets and other network compatible devices with each other and with your home network.

Setting up your modem

  1. Plug in the FRITZ!Box.
  2. Connect the included DSL/Phone cable to the outlet that was installed by the broadband engineers.
  3. Start the FRITZ!Box and connect to it by using either WiFi or the wired LAN connection. For more information about this, see the Quick Start Guide included with your modem.

  4. Choose your language.

  5. The FRITZ!Box displays a login page.

  6. Log in using the password provided on the FRITZ! Notes card included with your modem (or look for the password on the back of the modem).

  7. Select your country.

  8. After you select the country, the FRITZ!Box restarts.

Configuring Internet access

  1. After the restart, the login page displays again - enter your password and click Log In.

  2. The FRITZ!Box starts the Internet Connection wizard (IP Telecom does not require you to send diagnostics to AVM, so you can choose whether to check this box).

  3. Click OK for data privacy.

  4. Click Next to proceed through the wizard.

  5. Choose Other Internet service provider from the dropdown.

  6. Enter the name or leave it blank and click Next.

  7. Check Connection to a DSL line and click Next.

  8. Enter the username and password that IP Telecom provided.

  9. Confirm the settings and uncheck the box for "Check the internet connection after saving". Our connection requires more information after the wizard. Click Next.

  10. The FRITZ!Box shows a summary of the settings:

  11. You will be asked to configure a new telephone number, click Next.

  12. If you want to change your Wireless LAN Settings (network name and/or the network key), check the box "Change wireless LAN settings" and fill out the Name and Network Key you would like.

    Important

    If you change the settings and are using Wifi connection for the setup, the FRITZ!Box will prompt you to connect to the new WiFi settings.

  13. If you would like to receive emails from AVM about the status of your modem or any updates for AVM, check the checkbox and fill out your email address.

  14. The FRITZ!Box checks for a software update. You can cancel this process by clicking on the FRITZ!Box logo because setup is not yet complete.

  15. The FRITZ!Box will show the "Overview" page. From here, navigate to Internet > Account Information.

  16. Select Change connection settings.

  17. Under VLAN Settings click the checkbox next to "Use VLAN for Internet access" and enter "10" as "VLAN-ID". The FRITZ!Box will have automatically detected your line speed and DSL ATM Settings during the setup wizard.

  18. Click Apply. After the FRITZ!Box applies the settings successfully, the following screen is displayed:

  19. Plus the DSL cable from the socket to the modem.

  20. After you click OK, the FRITZ!Box checks the internet connection. If this check is successful you are now connected to the internet.
